5 Google Chrome Extensions For Web Designers

Hey, Pixels! In this week's video, I'll be showing you 5 Google Chrome extensions for web designers. Watch the video below and remember to like, comment & subscribe! Read the post below for more information on each extension.

1. Web Developers Checklist

The first Google Chrome extension that is a must-have for web developers is called “Web Developer Checklist”. This extension works by analyzing the web page you’re currently on to see if it’s meeting basic standards in web development such as SEO, usability, accessibility. It also checks and ranks website page speeds and if a website is mobile-friendly.

2. Marmoset

The second Chrome extension that is a must for web developers is “Marmoset”. Instead of taking boring, screenshots of your code, Marmoset turns your lines of code into images with depth and character. This is a great extension if you find yourself taking a lot of screenshots of your code but want to make it more interesting.

3. Color Zilla

Another great Google Chrome extension is “Color Zilla”. Web designers love this one. Colour Zilla is similar to the eye dropper tool in Photoshop in that it allows users to get color values of any color on any website by using an eye dropper tool. I find myself using this app all the time for my web design projects. If you ever want to know a specific color on any website, Colour Zilla is your friend.

4. Resize Window

If you’ve ever tried to design or develop a responsive website, you’ll know how important it is to know the correct window sizes for different mobile devices. There’s a great Google Chrome extension called “Resize Window” that has made responsive web design so much easier. It has preset screen sizes for common devices that way you’ll know and are able to see what your website will look like on an iPhone, tablet, etc.

5. Page Ruler

Another useful Chrome extension for web designers and developers is “Page Ruler”. This extension is the perfect tool for getting the exact measurements for various elements on a web page.

  1. Hi,
thanks for sharing these, I’m a Frontend Developer but I didn’t know the Web Developers Checklist extension. I just downloaded it to test it at work 🙂
What I also use on a daily basis is Corporate Ipsum, WhatFont? and Clear Cache (I find it faster to just click an icon to clear my cache haha).

    xx Mena
